So here’s an actual real update with actual full sentences.  I expect some kind of applause for the effort.

In case you haven’t heard, THE LIGHT is burning brightly, the epidemic of its success is spreading at nearly the speed of light.  Among other qualities, the book lends itself easily to metaphor (see preceding sentence).  Brett Weldele’s work on this book is absolutely stunning and if you need to see it for yourself before ordering the next issues, you can read the entire first issue over at Newsarama.  We appreciate your support.

I am deep in the process of editing the first draft of the novel.  You can liken this process to playing an accordion; the first draft is the long expanse, the drawing-in of air, and the editing into subsequent drafts is the contraction, and that is when the music, so to speak, is made.

For those interested, I noted on the contact page that if you’d like to exercise the quickly disappearing art of analog communication and write me a letter, you can email me and request an address.  This is a practice I very much enjoy.  I especially appreciate letters that extend beyond simple pleasantries and seek to explore topics of interest to me with depth and purpose.  Feel no pressure, however.
